The France Show 2011 - Bringing the best of France to Britain in new-look show PDF Print E-mail
The UK’s leading French lifestyle show is back and it’s better than ever as it returns to Earls Court, London, with a fresh look and a host of new features.

From 14 – 16 January 2011, The France Show (Earls Court, London), will bring the very best of French life to the UK for three days of ‘amusement français’.  The finest in French food, wine, shopping, travel, culture and property will be brought together in one place to provide those already passionate about France, and those with a desire to discover more, the chance to enjoy a little bit of French je ne sais quoi here in the UK.

New for 2011, The France Show will host the biggest French market ever seen in the UK.  With over 50 hand-selected French artisans, there will be a vast array of gourmet foods to try and buy, with well-loved French classics alongside some more unusual and harder to find regional delicacies, brought to the UK by Europe’s largest market operator, Groupe Géraud. The market will recreate the ambience of a typical French town setting providing the space for visitors to sit down and enjoy their purchases over a glass of wine within a convivial atmosphere.

Another original feature for 2011 is the Flavours of France Theatre, supported by France Magazine.  The theatre will see an array of well-loved regional French personalities hosting musical performances, entertainment and interviews throughout each day. Those with a real craving for French cuisine will also have the opportunity to learn techniques and recipes in a selection of first-class practical demonstrations from an array of top French chefs.

There will be a superb selection of France’s best wine producers in attendance giving visitors the chance to sample and purchase from a fantastic range of fine wines.  If you’re thirsty for greater knowledge, the Wine Tasting Theatres running throughout each day offer the opportunity to participate in seminars with some of the world’s leading experts.  With a range of sessions suitable for beginners through to the more experienced, each provides an overview of a selection of wines and the chance to taste under expert tuition.

If you’re one of the 16 million adults in the UK who wishes you could speak French, then why not consign your embarrassing school French to history and join one of the French classes at the show?  Specifically designed to offer you a fresh, fun and easy approach to learning, this could be just the start you need to get your confidence back and set you on your way to being fluent in French.

Whilst the show is the closest you can get to France without actually making the journey, it’s also the perfect place to start planning a visit.  With an excellent range of ferry operators, holiday companies, regional tourist offices and travel experts, visitors will get inspiration, information and a fantastic range of unique discounts and offers - what better place to start planning a visit to France.  Whether you’re looking for a weekend city break, a family camping holiday, a glamorous beach escape or something more active, with a cooking, cycling, walking, golfing, skiing, sailing or painting holiday, visitors will find all the options on offer at The France Show 2011.

For some, a more permanent French connection is what is called for.  Following a couple of unsettling years for the Euro and French economy, confidence is once again growing in the French property market meaning now is the perfect time to start exploring the option of buying your dream pied-à-terre, chateau or farmhouse in France.

The French Property Exhibition will be hosted within The France Show 2011 and is organised by the market leading titles French Property News and francepropertyshop.com. It brings together estate agents, developers, solicitors, banks and other professionals to provide visitors with free advice to guide you through every aspect of buying property in France – with confidence.

Whether you’re looking for a holiday home, a rental investment or a more permanent base – whatever your budget - the show has everything visitors need to help find the most suitable region, the best location, and the perfect property.  There will be experts on hand within two free-to-attend dedicated seminar theatres, hosted by Living France Magazine, to guide you through the whole process from start to finish.
