Artwork guidelines PDF Print E-mail

All digital artwork must be saved as CMYK.

We accept hi-res PDFs, JPEG, TIFF or EPS files

All files must be 300dpi and at least 100% of the final print size.

The programs we use are Illustrator, Photoshop and QuarkXPress. If using any other software please submit the artwork ahead of deadline to ensure compatibility.

Acrobat PDF files should be distilled with compatibility of Acrobat 7.0 or below, ASCII format with all fonts embedded. Ideally PDF’s should be pre-flighted to pass4press standards (all fonts embedded and without layers) Further details can be obtained from www.pass4press.com.

Adobe PhotoShop files to be saved as a high res press-ready JPEG, TIFF or EPS. All files must be supplied in CMYK format with a picture resolution of at least 300dpi. All layers must be flattened to embed the fonts.

Adobe Illustrator must be supplied as EPS files or as an Illustrator PDF with all fonts converted to outlines.

We cannot accept adverts in formats other than those listed, this includes adverts created in Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint or Word.

No responsibility is taken for the quality of images not supplied in the correct format or resolution.We cannot accept responsibility for colour reproduction or factual accuracy unless a colour guide and/or copy of the advertisement is provided.

Archant prefers all supplied adverts to have the fonts embedded. We are licensed to use all fonts from Adobe Font Book. If you are supplying a typeface from any other foundry please ensure that you have the permission to pass on to a third party for reproduction. Screen and printer fonts must be sent accompanying files where not embedded.
